Vocabulary N°1/2 bimester

1. Chlorophyll: A chemical that gives plants their green color and light energy.


2. Conifer: A plant that producer seeds in coner.


3. Egg: A female reproduction cell.

4. Embryo: An organism in its earliest stagers of growth.


5. Fern: A vascular plant tha reproduces with a spores.

6. Fertilization: The joining of the egg and spern.

7. Flower: The reproduction part of a flowering plant.

8. Flowering plant: A vascular plant that produces seeds inside a flower.

9. Moss: A small nonvascular plant that has both stems but no roots.

10. Nonvascular plant: Plants tht don't have tubelike cells is their stems and leave.

11. Phloem: Cells that carry food that is made in the leave to all parts of the plant.

12. Photosynthesis: The process in wich plants use water, carbon dioxide, and energy from the sun to make food.

13. Pollen: The tiny yellow grains of seed plants in wich spern develop.

14. Seed: A part of a plant that contains a new young plant and stored food.

15. Sexual reproduction: The forming of a new organism by the union of two reproduction cells.

16. Sperm: A male reproduction cell.

17. Vascular plant: Plant that have tubelike cells in their roots stemms and leave to carry food and water.

18. Xylem: Cells that carry water and dissolved minerals from the roots to the basus.
